What Is 220-Class Enameled Aluminum Wire?
220-class enameled aluminum wire is a dual-coat winding wire rated for a thermal class of 220 °C. It combines a high-purity annealed aluminum conductor with a polyester or polyester-imide basecoat and a polyamide-imide topcoat, for motor, appliance, transformer and refrigeration-compressor windings.
Why two coats
The basecoat carries the thermal and chemical load. The polyamide-imide topcoat takes the abrasion and winding stress. Splitting the two jobs is what lets the film hold up in high-speed winding and in sealed refrigerant systems where a single-coat film would be marginal — on an aluminum conductor annealed for ductile, break-resistant winding behavior.

Spool types and pallet configuration — aluminum wire
Single spools for samples or small orders are packed individually in a wooden case or paper drum. Volume shipments use fumigation-free wooden pallets, with cartons or fibreboard collars protecting the spools and stretch film securing the load. Standard aluminum-wire spool families include PT-25, PT-60, PT-200 and PT-270; exact spool weight and pallet build are confirmed per order.
